We’ve provided some more information about the cookies used on this website below, but in summary we use cookies on this site (http://corporate.wilko.com) for collecting aggregated, anonymised data so that we can see which pages have been viewed, visit length and where visitors have come from. This information is used to help develop and enhance the use-ability and features on our site. The cookies won’t be used for gathering any visitor specific data (such as names, addresses etc) or anything that will specifically identify ay visitor to the site.

Specific Cookies

The cookies used on this site are:

__utma Cookie

This is a persistent cookie - that remains on a computer, unless it expires or the cookie “cache” on the device is cleared. It tracks visitors and includes days and visits that provide us with data intelligence around optimising visitor channels.

__utmb Cookie & __utmc Cookie

These cookies work in tandem to calculate visit length. The __utmb cookie marks the exact arrival time, then the __utmc registers the precise exit time of the user. Because __utmb counts entrance visits, it is a session cookie, and expires at the end of the session, e.g. when a user leaves the page. A timestamp of 30 minutes must pass before Google cookie __utmc expires. The __utmc cannot tell if a browser or website session ends. Therefore, if no new page view is recorded in 30 minutes the cookie is expired.

__utmz Cookie

The cookie __utmz monitors and notes where a visitor arrived from (for example via a search engine, directly or via social media). From __utmz Cookie also registers, what keyword generated the visit plus geolocation data. This cookie lasts six months.

__utmv Cookie

This __utmv Cookie lasts "forever". It is a persistant cookie. It is used for segmentation, data experimentation and the __utmv works hand in hand with the __utmz cookie to improve cookie targeting capabilities.
